Welcome to our Canyon Park Middle School PTSA website!
We exist to support the students, parents, and staff at CPMS! Make a donation and join the PTSA today!
We have many opportunities for you to volunteer, if that’s your style.
We’d love to have your donation so that we can continue to offer programs and activities that support our CPMS community.
But most importantly, we’d love to hear your VOICE. Become a member of our PTSA and your voice will be added to the largest child advocacy organization in the state, the WSPTA, and in the country, National PTA. The overarching vision of PTA is that every child’s potential become a reality. By giving us your support, you can help make that happen!
— Announcements —
“Pillar Parties” celebrate students. Students who have exemplified one of the four pillars of Canyon Park (Community, Respect, Excellence and Responsibility) are nominated by their teachers to attend a fun morning event. Parents of students nominated are asked to help.
Sign for the January 31st, April 18, and/or June 6th events. Time is 7:45-8:45am.
Volunteers help set-up, help out during the celebration, and to help with clean-up.
December Staff Appreciation
This holiday season we would like to TREAT our wonderful teachers and staff to some holiday goodies. You-and-student baked? Great! Favorite or fun store- or bakery-bought? Great! Share a favorite cookie or candy type with our awesome teachers and staff. These will be in the staff lounge and teachers will be able to munch on a few goodies AND/OR put a plate together to take home and enjoy. Please have treats at the school on Thursday 12/12 by 9am and kindly note what type of cookie they are and any allergy sensitive ingredients that may be present (or missing- like gluten free, nut free).
Want to contribute but you aren’t available to make or purchase cookies on your own? Monetary donations to this and future staff appreciation events may be made here: Donate to Canyon Park Middle School PTSA 6.10.55

Our CPMS Emergency Prep Team Needs Your Help –
The Canyon Park Emergency Preparedness team is asking our community to help replenish the supplies that are stored and needed to assist our school in case of an emergency. “As a help to CPMS, our PTSA inventories the school emergency supply container. There are several items that we would love to replace or add, but sadly there are not enough funds to do so. We’re hoping that the community will jump in to help us fill in the gaps so that if an emergency situation arises, we are more than ready to care for the staff and students @ CPMS. Thank you so much for your support!” CPMS E-Prep Wish List (click here)

Hello Adventurers!
This Spring Break 28 students joined me on a trip to Ecuador. The tour was well beyond my expectations and, in my opinion, the most spectacular tour I have ever taken with students. The overall immersive cultural experience was crafted amazingly well by our student tour company, ACIS.
So I have been working on another travel opportunity with ACIS and am thrilled to announce that we are returning to the Andes for Spring Break 2025. This time to Peru! This student tour, titled “The Inca Trail,” will include visits to Lima, Cuzco and the Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca and, of course, Machu Picchu! The link below is my official trip site and will include all details of the tour. You are also invited to join me and my ACIS tour consultant, Jeannie Page, at a Zoom meeting where we will discuss the itinerary and other logistics. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers as well. The Zoom meeting will be on Thursday, May 9th at 6:30pm PST. Registration is below.
I hope to see you there!
All the best,
Jeff Armentrout
