Pass the Hat

IT’S TIME TO ….. “PASS THE HAT”!!!!
2023-2024 CPMS PTSA Annual Fundraiser
Wednesday, September 20th @ Curriculum Night

🎩 Donate Today! 🎩

What is “Pass the Hat”? “Pass the Hat” is “the practice of placing money in a hat circulated to collect funds from a group for the purpose of soliciting donations or contributions to a cause”.

Here at CPMS, “Pass the Hat” is the ONLY fundraiser for the PTSA!

On Curriculum Night, Wednesday, September 20th, we will be passing actual hats around the classrooms to accept your donations. The suggested donation amount is $75 per family, but we gratefully accept any amount! Every dollar goes directly to funding the important PTSA programs below and, in turn, supports our students, staff, and the school community:

  • Student Recognition (Pillar Parties)
  • Emergency Preparedness funding
  • Staff Appreciation events throughout the year
  • Grants for school, teachers & students
  • 8th Grade End-of-Year Party
  • 6th Grade Parents WEB Day Coffee & Donuts
  • WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Student Training
  • Career Day
  • Knights Day
  • Health Screening Day
  • Square dance lessons and the annual “Turkey Trot”
  • Reflections National Art Competition
  • Community Serve Day support
  • Parent Education Events
  • Support for Threads & Treads
  • Golden Acorn and Outstanding Educator Awards

Everything we do is focused on making CPMS a great community for our students, staff, and families!

It’s easy to pledge your support! You can donate in FOUR ways:

  • Donate the evening of Curriculum Night. Just put your cash or check into the hat!
  • Donate ONLINE! (with PayPal – do not need a PayPal account to use)
  • Include a donation along with your paper PTSA membership form
  • Mail a check to CPMS PTSA (note Pass The Hat) | PO Box #1434 | Bothell WA 98041

Corporate Matching
Many corporations – large and small (Microsoft, Boeing, Costco, etc.) – will match donations made to non-profit organizations like ours!  Please check with your HR department to take advantage of this amazing program!

Tax Deduction
Remember – CPMS PTSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.  Receipts for tax purposes are available upon request.

Thank you for being a part of our community!  Without you, none of this is possible.

If you’re unable to donate at this time, there are other ways you can support us!  One of the most important ways is through PTSA membership.  PTSA membership adds your voice to the largest child advocacy organization in the state, the WSPTA, and in the country, National PTA.  That membership voice is more important than ever as schools face shrinking budgets and lack of educational equity.
